She was awarded the Silver Trowel Award for magazine-writing for 2006 by the Garden Writer's Association of America for her May 2005 article "For the Love of Magnolias" in Carolina Gardener. She had another CG article on heirloom tomatoes reprinted in Seed Saver's Exchange.

Pam has been published in Wakefield, Fifteen501, Wake Living, and CIRCA Magazines.

Her newspaper credits include the News & Observer, The Wake Weekly, The Ivy Dispatch, and The Raleigh Extra.

Her horticultural society newsletter contributions include: the JC Raulston Arboretum newsletter; The Quill and Trowel for Garden Writers Association; and The Trillium for the Piedmont Chapter of the North American Rock Garden Society (NARGS).

She was a local garden scout and garden photo stylist for Better Homes & Gardens Magazine.
